7:53 PM Dave Thomas of Mansion productions has been doing video ever since he was a child, when his father bought his first video camera. Eager to play, his father obliged and this started Thomas’ career as the official family videographer.
Since then Thomas attended a summer video program at Indiana State University, attended and graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Telecommunications-Production, and started his own business, Martian Productions. After graduating Thomas spent three years doing free-lance work around the Chicago area for many companies including Chimera Digital Media Services, Region Sports Network, and The Pros. Thomas also worked as a production assistant for a few reality TV shows including “The Biggest Loser” and the film “The Unborn”.
Currently, Thomas runs Martian Productions and does free-lance work around the Chicago area for many musical venues, events, and artists. Recent bands Thomas has worked with include Liquid Beat Allstars, High End Trio, and Coyote Afloat, all local to Chicago. Thomas has also filmed international acts such as Ott and Bass Science.
